More About Jeff

Jeff Newlin grew up in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.  He received his BA from Northwestern University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa.  His theological education includes an MA from Cambridge University, an MDiv from Yale Divinity School, and a DMin from McCormick Theological Seminary. 

Before beginning his church consulting career Jeff was a Presbyterian pastor (PC USA) for 27 years.  After serving briefly as an assistant pastor in River Forrest, IL (Chicago area), he served as the senior pastor of large congregations in Hagerstown, MD; Jacksonville, FL; Basking Ridge, NJ; and Augusta, GA.  He also served briefly as an interim pastor on Hilton Head Island, SC.  Jeff led successful capital campaigns as a pastor in three different congregations.

Jeff and his wife, Ginger, reside in Martinez, GA, a suburb of Augusta.  They have three adult children.  Jeff enjoys hiking, reading, and listening to classical music and jazz.  He has a collection of over 12,000 LP phonograph records.
